About SubsTX

SubsTX is being built as a statewide commercial service directory. The current public rollout begins in Greater Houston and expands only when a market has enough useful content to publish responsibly.

What we publish

City hubs organize available project categories, company records, and local planning context. Service pages combine published phone contacts with editorial guidance about common scopes, methods, operating considerations, and questions to ask before hiring.

The goal is a directory that helps a property team understand the work before making a call—not a feed of ads, anonymous lead forms, or identical location pages.

Editorial principles

Organized locally

Pages are structured around real city and service combinations so a user can move between a market, a project type, and nearby coverage.

Transparent listings

Company websites are not linked from directory pages. Listings show the business name, relevant context, service coverage, and a phone number when published.

No invented trust

SubsTX does not label every listing “verified,” invent license requirements, rank companies, or guarantee availability, pricing, insurance, or workmanship.

Where the directory is going

The information architecture is designed for Texas-wide coverage, but rollout is intentionally market by market. Greater Houston is the current content base, not the limit of the SubsTX name.

What SubsTX does not do

SubsTX does not book work, collect a contractor commission, participate in a service agreement, or replace project-specific due diligence. Users and companies communicate directly.

Start with the current directory

No account is required to browse published markets and call a listed company.
