Please read these terms carefully before using our platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using SubsTX ("the Site"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using this Site's particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services.

2. Nature of the Service (Directory Only)

SubsTX provides a directory of commercial contractors ("Pros") for informational purposes only. SubsTX is not a construction company, general contractor, or service provider. We do not perform, supervise, or manage any construction work.

Any agreement, contract, or transaction for services is solely between you (the "User") and the Contractor. SubsTX is not a party to any such agreement.

3. Verification Disclaimer

While SubsTX makes reasonable efforts to verify that contractors listed on our site hold active state licenses at the time of their onboarding (the "Local Pro" badge), we do not warrant or guarantee:

  • The current status of a contractor's license or insurance coverage at the specific moment you hire them.
  • The quality, safety, or legality of the services provided.
  • The accuracy of pricing or estimates provided by contractors.

It is your sole responsibility to verify the contractor's current license status with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and request proof of insurance before hiring.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including the laws of the State of Texas), SubsTX and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

  • Damages resulting from poor workmanship, unfinished projects, or property damage caused by a Contractor.
  • Financial losses resulting from transactions with Contractors found through this Site.
  • Personal injury or disputes arising between Users and Contractors.

The Site is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Post false, inaccurate, or misleading information.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to collect data from the Site without our express written permission.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person or entity.

6. Intellectual Property

The content, organization, graphics, design, compilation, and other matters related to the Site are protected under applicable copyrights and other proprietary laws. The copying, redistribution, use, or publication by you of any such matters or any part of the Site is strictly prohibited.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these terms shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
